The Upcountry History Museum offers a year-round internship program, with internships offered each academic semester.
Interns gain hands-on experience across various areas of museum operations, working directly with the public and the Museum’s collections.
Interns interested in history and museum studies may have the option of working with the Museum’s Collections Manager and/or the Education and Programs Department. This will also include limited experience in marketing. research writing, guest services, and exhibition installation. Internships are available for most majors and unpaid, unless otherwise noted.
Internship Applicant Criteria
Interested students must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate school student in a degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university.
Internship Application Packet
Interested students must submit a complete Internship Application Packet which includes a Resume and a Cover Letter that let’s us know why you’d like to intern at UHM and what you hope to gain from the experience.
