Lewis Carroll, Behind the Looking Glass

Presenter: Dr. David Coombs, Clemson University
In honor of the current special exhibition, “Down the Rabbit Hole: Imagining Alice’s Wonderland,” English professor, Dr. David Coombs, joins Lunchbox Learning to discuss the life of Lewis Carroll and the world of Victorian Oxford in which he lived and wrote, including how his work in mathematics and philosophy informed the Alice books.
Spend your lunchtime at the Museum learning about interesting and sometimes unexpected aspects of history. Presentations are held in the Museum’s theater and feature both high quality sound and cinematic video experiences.
Programs run from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM
